Hey,

When I tried to create a Partner Center and enroll in Commercial Marketplace I had this message
(see screenshot).

Anybody having this issue and know how to solve it ?

Thank you so much in advance

Hi there !

This issue is often caused because you’re trying to enroll in the commercial Marketplace prior to enroll to Microsoft Cloud an AI Partner Program.

In short when you sign up for Partner Center for the first time they offer you the option to enroll in “Commercial Marketplace”. This is a design mistake from Microsoft.

You can’t be enrolled in “Commercial Marketplace” without being enrolled in Microsoft C+AI Partner Program.

The good news is there is an easy fix.

  1. Navigate here and click on “Become a Microsoft Partner”
  2. Select this Program:

  1. Finalize onboarding
  2. Once done - navigate to Account Setting (the little wheel on the top right)
  3. Click on Programs > Join Commercial Marketplace Program.
  4. Once done - log out and log in again.

You’re all set :fire: Happy selling !

Hi, I have the same issue, even when clicking on the correct Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program.

Thanks for you help

Hi wonka - let’s take 10 min today to go trough that. There should be an easy fix and we’ll document that in another thread since original issue was fixed okay ?

Hi Wonka - based on our discussion. You had to wait for an update regarding your new purchased domain name and email address change so that Partner Center would effectively recognize your Office 365 account. In short, you just had to wait a few hours so you could login.

I am encountering the same issue as Wonka when trying to enroll in the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program.
I’ve waited 24 hours since creating my account, but it still doesn’t work on my side, showing the same error message.

Do you have any idea what other possible causes could be?

Thanks

Hi Robin - please provide more context. What did you do exactly ?

Did you check the two resolution paths above ?

Yes I checked it => Enroll to the right program (AI cloud) and wait 24h after creation of my Azure account

Is an Microsoft 365 account mandatory ? I first tried with the email address linked to my domain but as I couldn’t tick the option to enroll to the Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, I had to create another adress “onmicrosoft.com” (with same domain name) to continue the process.
Also, I have a “Micro-company” (one person business status) so my company and identification number are registered under my name, not under my domain name. I’m not sure if this impacts the validation process.

Hi Robin,

  1. The domain name and the company are currently independent of each other and have no impact on one another at this stage.

  2. It’s necessary to have a work account, which it seems you already have with your onmicrosoft.com email.

  3. Please log out, wait for 2–3 hours, and then log in again using your onmicrosoft.com email address. This should resolve the issue. If it doesn’t, we can arrange a call to sort it out together.

Looking forward to getting this resolved for you!

Thanks for your help, I’ll check at the end of the day and let you know

I tried again. Unfortunately, I got blocked the same way
