I have a customer looking to transact via marketplace but they’re wondering how it will work when they have overages or an expansion. I am assuming we’d create a 2nd private offer that we then put monthly billing on. Are we able to define a custom amount of months for the term length so we can have it match the customer’s existing contract? Any other considerations I should take?

Pumped to have you with us ! It can work in two ways.

  • Preferred route - leverage WeTransact custom dimensions. Whenever you issue a pricing in WeTransact you have the capability to define custom dimensions. In this scenario - you’d create a dimension called “Overage” and give it a unit price. Whenever you face an overage you can go back to WeTransact and manually report the overage without having to create a second offer.

  • List item As an alternative if your private offer have been emitted you can emit a second offer just for overage reporting.
